Unscramble Book Giveaway Game

How do you add a little extra fun to a book giveaway? I took keywords from the books themselves, keeping in mind that each keyword needed to contain the letters to also spell out the book title. Then I built a "Jumble"-style game board.

This was oddly hard to create! However, you can use online information, like the word lists in the Google Books listings that pull out the words that appear most often in a title, or Goodreads, to find nice big words.

Apparently, the Unscramble games were more difficult than your normal word puzzles, but a lot of our patrons found them a satisfying way to pass the time!
If the patrons liked the title they unscrambled, they would then enter the drawing. If they didn't like the title, they still had the satisfaction of playing and making their brains a little more flexible!

After a test over the summer, we had one Unscramble go live each week of the Adult Library Program. The test game was Facebook-only, but the ALP games were released both via Facebook and as a Google Form to give people an option of how to play. The rules were slightly different for the GF, because we needed a way to contact them.
