Lao Tzu isn't the only one capable of rational thought. For your edification, Lin-Lin has updated the Tao for our grossly modern era (ew gross!).

Lin-Lin is a doll--literally. She doesn't "belong to" Salem, though, she "belongs with" Salem. In fact, maybe Salem belongs to her.
All you need to know to enjoy Lin-Lin is that she's a doll, Salem is her Mumsy, and the 80s never ended.
If Lao Tzu had had access to roller skates, glitter, and Jell-O, maybe he would have seen the world in a more rational light...
“If you want something, pretend you don't. Either you'll get it, or you'll see what it's really like and you won't want it anymore.” --Lin-Lin the All-Knowing Sage
Sage: n. An herb, a garnish, an oracle (sometimes all three at once).
Welcome to the Tao te Lin-Lin
Okay, the truth is, I've just been having fun playing with my new dip pens--and failing miserably. Yayyyyy! Honestly, failing is oodles of fun. (Look up the concept of Wabi Sabi.)
I basically teach Failure for Adults (except I don't call it that because they would get So Mad). We've all been taught that we have to strive for perfection at all times, and sometime around middle school, people stop trying new things. Grown-ups especially have a hard time trying something new and sticking with it from the horrible beginnings through the learning process up through mastery. Failure for Adults is also known as Playtime for Grown-Ups. Or art class. I guess I'll let you call it that, too.
“Wanting and not wanting are the same 'cause either way yer not gonna get what you wanted fer Christmas.” --Lin-Lin the All-Knowing Sage
The Tao te Lin-Lin has existed for years in notebook scribbles, only recently turning into an illustrated version--although, again, Lin-Lin as shown has also existed for years.

I'm finding I don't have as much control over the dip pens as I do with my favorites (Bic Crystal Sticks) or even with a good pencil. But at least it's pink!
Please enjoy responsibly as you follow Lin-Lin on her wild ride to enlighten silly-silly humankind.
