Name That Author - Virtual Literary Trivia Library Game

Can you name the authors who make up a large portion of our literary canon?

By this point in my game creation, I was having trouble finding creative commons clip art for everything I needed, so I decided to make my own fountain pen as part of the logo.

Welcome to Name That Author!, the virtual game show from Bellevue Public Library where you get a ticket for the Imagine Your Story adult library program grand prize drawing basket of your choice, just for answering literary trivia questions.

ENTER THE CONTEST!

Authors can sometimes be just as famous and recognizable as their published works! Name the author in each photo/painting!

HOW TO PLAY:

Look carefully at the fifteen (15) photos or paintings of famous authors. These are popular or iconic authors (no one obscure!). Enter your answers on this Google Form. You will have from Wednesday, August 19 to Tuesday, August 25 to enter. Name as many as you can--you do not need to complete all of them; you will not be penalized for guessing.

WINNER:

At the end of the game, you will find a Secret Code to enter into our new adult library program tracking software. Note the code, then enter it into your Beanstack account to get a ticket, then choose which Grand Prize Basket you would like a chance to win. Contest ends on Aug 25 at midnight-ish.

ELIGIBILITY:

You do need to have a Bellevue Library Card in order to win (but feel free to play even if you are out of the area!).

Library staff and board members may also play but are ineligible to win a prize (other than bragging rights!).
