Sometimes, as the adult programming librarian, I hold family-friendly classes so that adults can come and participate with their kids. This promotes bonding among them and other families, and also is inclusive of families who cannot afford to get a sitter just to attend a quick library class.
However, sometimes it does alienate adults who either don't want to be around children or who misunderstand and think that the class is for kids only! We are finally getting our adults to understand that not all library classes are for kids, but it's been a long transition!

This class was a long time in the making. We had to cancel it three years ago because they suddenly decided to repave our road that day. We finally did it as a virtual class this year, and it has had our best analytics of our videos.
