How well do you know the anthropomorphic animals of children's literature?
To make it even more difficult, players need to not only name the book title, but the SPECIES of the animal named. This game almost ended up being called Name That Rat...

I had fun, not only learning how to layer letters and add a reptile pattern, but I made my own bunnies! Working with simple shapes in Inkscape is a lot of fun--if you can figure out how to break a bunny down into its cute components.

Welcome to Animalia!, the virtual game show from Bellevue Public Library where you get a ticket for the Imagine Your Story adult library program grand prize drawing basket of your choice, just for answering literary trivia questions.
ENTER THE CONTEST!
This game has gone to the dogs (and cats, rats, and pigs)! How well do you know your literary animals?
HOW TO PLAY:
Look carefully at the fifteen (15) iconic animal names from popular books/series and tell us both the SPECIES of the character and the BOOK TITLE. So that you can see which answers you get correct, please use the format [Species Title] --without brackets or anything-- for example: one answer might be << Mouse Stuart Little >>.
Enter your answers on this Google Form. You will have from Wednesday, September 2 to Tuesday, September 8 to enter. Name as many as you can--you do not need to complete all of them; you will not be penalized for guessing.
WINNER:
At the end of the game, you will find a Secret Code to enter into our new adult library program tracking software. Note the code, then enter it into your Beanstack account to get a ticket, then choose which Grand Prize Basket you would like a chance to win. Contest ends on Sept 8 at midnight-ish.
ELIGIBILITY:
You do need to have a Bellevue Library Card in order to win (but feel free to play even if you are out of the area!).
Library staff and board members may also play but are ineligible to win a prize (other than bragging rights!).
